With only 3 weeks until summer break, things are going to be super busy for my kiddos. Muffins for mom on May 4th, Parent Teacher Conferences on May 6th, End of the Year Program on May 17th, Field Day on May 18th, and Class Party on May 19th.
I am including my lesson plans about dinosaurs. The lesson plans include the following types of activities: Morning Message with activity, Large Group Literacy, Phonemic Awareness, Small Group, two planned story times, and a closing activity.The standards are based on Bright From the Start GELDS.

Morning Message Each day of the week for five days. Let the students fill in the missing letters to complete the morning message. Also, each day has a question and answer session geared towards vocabulary words associated with dinosaurs.

Where is the Bone? Students identify the letters and then click the object. The students are looking for the hidden bones. Practice identifying lowercase letters.
Where is the T-Rex? Students identify kindergarten sight words and then click the object. The students are looking for the hidden t-rexes. Practice identifying: color sight words, I, a, me, am, like, see, the.

Carnivore / Herbivore Sort
Letter D Sort Game that allows students to practice classifying objects that begin or do not begin with the /d/ sound.
Letter V Sort Game that allows students to practice classifying objects that begin or do not begin with the /v/ sound.
Rhyming Word Sort Game that allows students to practice classifying objects that rhyme with the word map.
Beginning Letter Sounds Write the matching beginning letter sound in the box next to the picture.
How Many Syllables? Sort the pictures by 1, 2, 3, or 4 syllables.
Build a Word Use the letter tiles to build the word. Build a word uses both ~AP word family words.

How Many Dinosaurs? Roll the die and count out the corresponding number of dinosaurs and put them in front of the volcano.

Roll & Cover: Roll the dice and count the dots. Then use the dinosaur and cover the matching numeral. Two versions: 1-6 and 2-12.
