Day 3 of Winter Break and I am continuing to make independent activities for my firsties which they can use to practice reading and comprehending irregular spelled words.
1L2d.: Students will use conventional spelling for words with
common spelling patterns and for frequently occurring irregular words.
1RF3d.: Recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words.

Students practice reading comprehension using context clues to chose the correct word to finish the sentence. Perfect for small group, guided reading, Daily 5, Saxon Phonics and Spelling block.
