On each space the player needs to say the sight word in order to keep moving. If they don’t know a word, stay on their previous spot and it is the next player’s turn.
- Checkers Follow the rules of playing checkers. To make a king, drag a king from your opponent’s box. When moving your piece to a square the player must identify the sight word before being allowed to stay on the square. Once a player has captured an opponent’s piece move it to your box. Continue playing until there is a winner.
- Color Code
- Color Goldfish Pop Identify the color sight word. Pop the bubble to check and see if you are correct.
- Balloon Pop Divide students into two teams. Students take turns identifying the sight word on the balloon. If they get it right, the student pops the balloon and adds one point. If the student gets it wrong, the other team gets a chance to identify the sight word. Whichever team has the most points at the end of the game wins.
